About Me

I go to Dugger Union Community School and I am a senior in high school. My favorite subject in school has to be English. I absolutely love writing! One of my favorite things about writing is being able to get my thoughts and feelings out on paper. Outside of school, I love to cook, hang out with my friends, and watch my favorite TV shows. I haven't always loved to cook, but recently I have been doing it a lot and I really enjoy doing it. I usually follow along with different recipes and cook things homemade.

Besides cooking, I also love spending quality time with my friends and family. My friends and I usually find so many different things to do to keep us entertained. We go shopping, we go try new restaurants, but our favorite things to do together is go to amusement parks. We sure do love the thrill! Aside from having fun, I also have to work to earn money to do those exciting things. This past summer I took classes at Ivy Tech to earn my degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. 

Although, I didn't get to enjoy my summer because I was working at Walmart and taking classes, it paid off and I earned my degree as a CNA. I now work at cobblestone health campus in Terre Haute working as an aid. At times my job does get stressful especially since I am still a senior in high school, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Now that I am a CNA,  I can finally say that I'm on the right track since the medical field is something I have always wanted to pursue in the future. I have wanted to be a registered nurse for about four years now. Being a RN is something I would really enjoy. I would manage patients' daily activities, control safety, and provide basic care. That is something I really have a passion for doing. After I get my nursing degree, I would like to also go back and eventually become a doctor. I would love to be a pediatrician; I absolutely adore taking care of kids.

        I learned about the Sullivan County CEO Program from my highschool counselor. I never thought that I would ever want to be an entrepreneur simply because I didn't know how. I'm excited to see where this class takes me and all the things I have learned on the way. It has only been two weeks of class, but between my facilitator and all the wonderful guest speakers we have had, I can honestly say I have learned quite a bit already. I'm extremely happy to see what the future holds for not only me, but my classmates, as well. Who knows, maybe by taking this class my childhood dream will come true, and I'll have a diner, like I have always wanted.
