Our Sullivan County CEO Program is hosting an event on January 19th, 2024 - Dancing with the Sullivan Stars. I hope by now many of you are following the students business page for this exciting event! I will link it below on the comments.

For now, I wanted to give you an update of what I have seen behind the scenes. For anyone who doesn't know, our program this year consists of FIVE high school students. Since fall break, these five students have brainstormed and planned 3 different business ideas. Due to the structure of this class, the students' finally landed on lucky business idea number three - Dancing with the Sullivan Stars, and are very excited to officially bring it to all of you in January!

Since focusing on this specific event since early November, the planning process has been time consuming, rewarding, nerve raking, and a lot and a lot of HARD work. They have successfully found a beautiful venue, secured public figures that are bravely and eagerly ready to dance the night away, found, with help from Studio 3:4, dance trainers and participates that are ready to teach and choreograph beautiful dance numbers, and proceed into the event logistics, finances, team building, marketing, management, and event planning process.

I, and our wonderful CEO Board, are so proud of these kids. At this busy time of the year, I am always so reminded WHY this is a wonderful job to have as I watch these young entrepreneurs working endless hours to put together something beautiful for the community. It is such a ✨joy✨ to watch them grow in this stage.

Again, I wanted to leave you all with the information that this big event is brought to you by only 5 high schools students. Our CEO Board and I expect a lot out of them, and I have no doubt that they will rise to the occasion, but also during this process it is the golden opportunity for them to grow and learn as individuals who are putting on their first public event. Our annual CEO Class Business process will never be perfect because the CEO Program is a safe spot for these students to grow, learn, and improve it the next time. They are learning with every social media post, ticket sale, and every conversation with the community. Please help us give them a little grace, and a whole lot of feedback this Holiday Season!
