Election Week makes for a good time to share our past guest speaker - JD Wilson! We spent the morning with JD last week discussing the role of becoming Sullivan Mayor and all the responsibilities he has witnessed Clint oversee and handle the past 5 years he has spent working for the City of Sullivan.

JD also shared his own personal journey of military, family life, and Department of Public Works in Sullivan. We appreciate him taking his morning to spend some time with our students and opening their minds to the inter-workings of town needs.

We will leave you with our favorite quote of JD Wilson when asked why he ran for Mayor, "I want to give our kids a choice when it comes to where to live. When our youth completes college, I want them to have a choice on starting life here in Sullivan - start a business, get a good job, have kids here, grow old here, whatever it may be. I want them to be able to put down roots here."
